Methods and systems for graphical actuation of a velocity and
directionally sensitive sound generation application are disclosed. An
identifier of a graphical element or elements that are traversed is
received wherein the graphical element or elements are located on a coded
surface. In one embodiment, the traversal has a velocity and a direction.
Moreover, the traversal can be performed with an optical pen on a
graphical representation of a sound generation system. The velocity and
the direction of the traversal are determined and an identifier of the
velocity and the direction of the traversal is used to actuate a
directionally sensitive sound generation application.
