An electrophotographic toner and a method of preparing the same are
provided. The electrophotographic toner includes a latex, a colorant, and
a releasing agent, wherein the electrophotographic toner includes silicon
(Si) and iron (Fe), each of the Si and Fe is in the range of about 3 to
about 1,000 ppm, a mole ratio of Si to Fe (Si/Fe) is in the range of
about 0.1 to about 5, an initiation temperature of a maximum heat
absorption peak curve when a temperature increases in a heat absorption
curve of the toner measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC)
is in the range of about 68 to about 89.degree. C., and a peak
temperature of the maximum heat absorption peak curve is in the range of
about 86 to about 89.degree. C.
