To provide a paste-type dental cement capable of being used properly for temporary adhering or temporary filling, a paste-type dental cement, which comprises a phosphoric acid and/or a polymer of .alpha.-.beta. unsaturated carboxylic acid, an oxide powder capable of reacting with the phosphoric acid and/or the polymer of .alpha.-.beta. unsaturated carboxylic acid, and a water, further includes a liquid not reacting with the oxide powder.
