The invention is a mount for an electronic display device. The mount
comprises a mount member that has a top face and a bottom face. Portions
of the mount member are configured to engage portions of a mounting
surface within the cockpit of an airplane. The mount also comprises a
containment member spaced therefrom the mount member. A joint member is
disposed in frictional contact with portions of the respective mount
member and containment member. A base member, which may be configured for
engagement with a portion of the electronic display device, may be
connected to the joint member.
