A polarization direction rotator, for rotating the polarization direction of the measuring light beam that enters the polarization maintaining optical fiber accompanying rotation of the probe, is provided in order to maintain a state in which the polarization direction of the measuring light beam that enters the polarization maintaining optical fiber and the direction of the polarization axis of the polarization maintaining optical fiber are matched.
