There is provided an aminoanthryl derivative-substituted pyrene compound represented by the following general formula (1). ##STR00001## The compound is useful as a compound for an organic light-emitting device exhibiting highly pure luminescent color, and an optical output with high efficiency, high luminance, and long life.
