An object of the invention is to provide a novel sugar-alcohol-modified
organopolysiloxane compound which can have hydrophilicity effectively
imparted thereto with a raw material incorporated even in a smaller
amount, by using a precursor having a sugar alcohol residue, and which
provides a nonionic surfactant usable in a wide range of applications.
Another object is to provide processes for producing the compound.
The invention relates to a sugar-alcohol-modified organopolysiloxane
compound represented by formula (1) and processes for producing the
compound.
