The invention is related to novel azulene-oxindole compounds having formula (I) shown below, wherein one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 represents a moiety of formula (II), each of A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 independently is nitrogen, oxygen or sulfur, each of the others of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.1, R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7, R.sub.8, R.sub.9, R.sub.10, R.sub.11, R.sub.12, R.sub.13, and R.sub.14 is as recited in the specification. The novel compound potentially inhibits multiple kinases and thus can be used to treat some disease like cancer or inflammatory. ##STR00001##
