An exemplary mobile communication device comprises an operating system for the mobile communication device and a radio interface for connecting to a wireless network. The exemplary mobile communication device also comprises a display on which a graphical user interface is displayed to enable the user to operate the mobile communication device according to the operating system. The exemplary mobile communication device additionally comprises a local storage where data files associated with the graphical user interface are stored and a graphical user interface manager that enables the download of a new graphical user interface from a remote device.
