A radio communication system includes a transmitter. The transmitter includes a packet generating unit that generates a plurality of transmission packets from single transmission data and arranges the transmission packets in a space direction such that the transmission packets can be simultaneously transmitted; and a transmitting unit that separately carries out predetermined transmission processing on each of the transmission packets arranged in the space direction and simultaneously transmits the transmission packets using streams corresponding to the transmission packets.
