In another embodiment the invention relates to compositions and compounds for topical application comprising at least one photoprotective compound for topical application comprising of hydroxylated derivatives of natural Jojoba wax/oil or its synthetic substitute, esterified with carboxylic acids or aminoacids bearing UV-absorbing groups.
