Macrocyclic peptides are disclosed having the general formula: ##STR00001## wherein R', R.sup.3, R.sup.3', R.sup.4, R.sup.6, X, Q, and W are described. Compositions comprising the compounds and methods for using the compounds to inhibit HCV are also disclosed.
