The present invention discloses a method for treating cancer by using
hCRMP1 and/or active fragments thereof, as well as the active fragments
of hCRMP1 that are capable of inhibiting cell proliferation, invasive
activity, and metastasis of cancer. The method can also be used prior to,
or in combination with, the administration a chemotherapy agent. A vector
capable of expressing an hCRMP1, a variant of hCRMP1, a fragment of
hCRMP1 or a variant of a fragment of hCRMP1 is also disclosed.
