Novel alkylenediaminediacetic acid or alkylenediaminetriacetic derivatives of formula (I): ##STR1## or an organic or inorganic salt thereof, their process of preparation, and their use in cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions, such as for protecting the body against oxidative stress are discussed.
