A concentrated liquid color developer composition for a silver halide color photographic material which comprises at least one compound represented by the following formula (I) or (II): R.sup.1 --(OC.sub.2 H.sub.4).sub.n --OH (I) wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and n represents an integer of from 4 to 9; R.sup.2 --SO.sub.3 M (II) wherein R.sup.2 represents an alkyl group having from 4 to 10 carbon atoms, and M represents a cation.
