A high-efficiency organic luminous element by which blue luminescence with high luminance and high color purity becomes possible, which comprises at least one compound represented by general formula (A): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.a, R.sup.b, R.sup.c and R.sup.d each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, with the proviso that at least one substituent group of R.sup.a, R.sup.b, R.sup.c and R.sup.d is a group represented by general formula (B): ##STR2## wherein R.sup.e and R.sup.f each represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, and Ar.sup.a represents an aryl group, a heteroaryl group or an alkenyl group; and when at least two substituent groups of R.sup.a, R.sup.b, R.sup.c and R.sup.d are groups represented by general formula (B), the groups represented by general formula (B) may be the same or different.

Een high-efficiency organisch lichtgevend element waardoor de blauwe luminescentie met hoge helderheid en hoge kleurenzuiverheid mogelijk wordt, wat minstens uit één samenstelling bestaat die door algemene formule (A) wordt vertegenwoordigd: ## STR1 ## waarin R.sup.a, R.sup.b, R.sup.c en R.sup.d elk een waterstofatoom of een substituentgroep vertegenwoordigen, op voorwaarde dat minstens één substituentgroep R.sup.a, R.sup.b, R.sup.c en R.sup.d een groep die door algemene formule (B) wordt vertegenwoordigd is: ## STR2 ## waarin R.sup.e en R.sup.f elk een waterstofatoom of een substituentgroep vertegenwoordigen, en Ar.sup.a een aryl groep, een heteroarylgroep of een alkenyl groep vertegenwoordigt; en wanneer minstens twee substituentgroepen R.sup.a, R.sup.b, R.sup.c en R.sup.d groepen die door algemene formule (B) worden vertegenwoordigd zijn, kunnen de groepen die door algemene formule (B) worden vertegenwoordigd zelfde of verschillend zijn.
