A high-strength aluminum alloy for pressure casting exhibiting a tensile strength of not less than 35 kgf/mm.sup.2 and an elongation of not less than 5.0% is provided. The aluminum alloy comprises 3.5 to 5.0% of Cu, 6.5 to 7.5% of Si, not more than 0.36% of Mg, not more than 0.35% of Fe, and the balance comprising Al and unavoidable impurities.
