A construction and method are provided for electronically shielding an electronic component and for removing heat generated by the component. The construction and method involve the use of a shielding can, formed with EMI shielding material that surrounds the electronic component and a lid or cap that both contacts and forms a heat sink with the component and also provides a shielding effect as it acts as the cap for the shielding can.

Una costruzione e un metodo sono forniti per elettronicamente la protezione del componente elettronico e per calore di rimozione generato dal componente. La costruzione ed il metodo coinvolgono l'uso di una latta proteggente, formato con EMI che protegge il materiale che circonda il componente elettronico e un coperchio o una protezione che entrambi i contatti e forma un dissipatore di calore con il componente ed inoltre fornisce un effetto proteggente mentre funge da la protezione per la latta proteggente.
