The present invention relates to novel isocoumarin derivatves inhibiting angiogenesis, a method for preparation thereof and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the said derivatives as pharmaceutically active ingredients. More particularly, the present invention relates to novel isocoumarin derivatves represented by formula (1), especially 6,8-dihydroxy-4-acetyl-isocoumarin, a method for preparing 6,8-dihydroxy-4-acetyl-isocoumarin from fungi, and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds and/or 6,8-dihydroxy-4-acetyl-isocoumarin as pharmaceutically active ingredients, which would be effective for the treatment of angiogenic diseases such as cancers, rheumatoid arthritis and diabetic retinopathy.

De onderhavige uitvinding heeft op nieuwe isocoumarin derivatves verbiedende angiogenese, een methode daarvan voor voorbereiding en farmaceutische samenstellingen betrekking bestaand uit de bovengenoemde derivaten als farmaceutisch actieve ingrediënten. Meer in het bijzonder, heeft de onderhavige uitvinding op nieuwe isocoumarin betrekking derivatves die door formule (1), vooral 6,8dihydroxyâcetylisocoumarin wordt vertegenwoordigd, een methode om 6,8dihydroxyâcetylisocoumarin van paddestoelen, en farmaceutische samenstellingen voor te bereiden bestaand uit de samenstellingen en/of 6,8dihydroxyâcetylisocoumarin als farmaceutisch actieve ingrediënten, die voor de behandeling van angiogenic ziekten zoals kanker, reumatoïde artritis en diabetesretinopathy efficiënt zouden zijn.
