Dynamic reconfiguration of a quorum group of processors and recovery
procedure therefore are provided for a shared nothing distributed
computing system. Dynamic reconfiguration proceeds notwithstanding
unavailability of at least one processor of the quorum group of processors
assuming that a quorum of the remaining processors exists. Recovery
processing is implementing by the group of processors so that the at least
one processor which was unavailable during the dynamic reconfiguration of
the group is able to obtain current state information once becoming
active. Each processor of the group of processors includes an incarnation
number and a list of member processors which participated in a commit
process resulting in its incarnation number. The recovery processing
includes exchanging the processors' incarnation numbers and lists of
processors for propagation of the current state of the quorum group of
processors to the at least one processor now becoming available.
Determination of a relaxed quorum number for a quorum based operation of a
distributed computing system is also described.
Dynamische Neukonfiguration einer Quorumgruppe Prozessoren und Wiederherstellungsprozedur folglich werden für geteilt nichts verteiltes Computing-System zur Verfügung gestellt. Dynamische Neukonfiguration fährt ungeachtet des Nichtvorhandenseins von mindestens einem Prozessor der Quorumgruppe der Prozessoren fort, die annehmen, daß ein Quorum der restlichen Prozessoren besteht. Die Wiederaufnahme Verarbeitung führt durch die Gruppe der Prozessoren ein, damit der mindestens ein Prozessor, der während der dynamischen Neukonfiguration der Gruppe nicht erreichbar war, ist, die Lageinformationen einzuholen, die einmal aktiv werden. Jeder Prozessor der Gruppe der Prozessoren schließt eine Inkarnationsnummer und eine Liste der Mitgliedsprozessoren ein, die an einem Festlegung Prozeßresultieren in seiner Inkarnationsnummer teilnahmen. Die Wiederaufnahme Verarbeitung schließt das Austauschen der der Inkarnationsnummern Prozessoren und der Listen der Prozessoren gegen Ausbreitung der gegenwärtigen Lage der Quorumgruppe von Prozessoren zum mindestens einem Prozessor ein, der jetzt vorhanden wird. Ermittlung einer entspannten Quorumzahl für einen Quorum gegründeten Betrieb eines verteilten Computing-Systems wird auch beschrieben.
