An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum and a transfer roller disposed opposite to the photosensitive drum. Provided upstream of the transfer roller in a paper sheet feeding direction is a roller that guides a paper sheet between the photosensitive drum and the transfer roller. The roller is disposed at such a position that the paper sheet is brought into a surface of the photosensitive drum and then supplied between the photosensitive drum and the transfer roller. With the above-described structure, a gap is not formed between the paper sheet and the photosensitive drum, so that poor image transfer attributable to an electric discharge, that occurs at the gap, can be prevented.

Una imagen que forma el aparato incluye un tambor fotosensible y un contrario dispuesto rodillo de la transferencia al tambor fotosensible. Se proporciona contracorriente desde el rodillo de la transferencia en una dirección de alimentación de la hoja de papel un rodillo que dirige una hoja de papel entre el tambor fotosensible y el rodillo de la transferencia. El rodillo se dispone en tal posición que la hoja de papel está traída en una superficie del tambor fotosensible y después provista entre el tambor fotosensible y el rodillo de la transferencia. Con la estructura descrita antes, un boquete no se forma entre la hoja de papel y el tambor fotosensible, para poder prevenir la transferencia pobre de la imagen atribuible a una descarga eléctrica, que ocurre en el boquete.
