Methods for producing amide derivatives of the formula [XV] are described. These derivatives are useful as HIV protease inhibitors. ##STR1## wherein R.sup.4 is an optionally substituted alkyl, an optionally substituted aryl, an optionally substituted heteroaryl, an optionally substituted aralkyl or an optionally substituted heteroarylalkyl, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are the same or different and each is a hydrogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl, an optionally substituted aryl, an optionally substituted heteroaryl or an optionally substituted aralkyl, or R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 combinedly form, together with the adjacent nitrogen atom, a hetero ring, said hetero ring being optionally substituted by halogen atom, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, amino, alkoxycarbonyl, carboxamide or alkyl-substituted carbamoyl, and R.sup.8 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl, an optionally substituted aryl or an optionally substituted aralkyl, or an enantiomer thereof.

Methoden für das Produzieren der Amidableitungen der Formel [ XV ] werden beschrieben. Diese Ableitungen sind als HIV Proteasehemmnisse nützlich. ## STR1 ## worin R.sup.4 ein beliebig ersetztes Alkyl, ein beliebig ersetztes Aryl, ein beliebig ersetztes heteroaryl, ein beliebig ersetztes aralkyl oder ein beliebig ersetztes heteroarylalkyl ist, sind R.sup.6 und R.sup.7 dieselben, oder und jedes ist ein Wasserstoffatom, ein beliebig ersetztes Alkyl, ein beliebig ersetztes Aryl, ein beliebig ersetztes heteroaryl oder ein beliebig ersetztes aralkyl oder combinedly Form R.sup.6 und R.sup.7, zusammen mit dem angrenzenden Stickstoffatom, ein hetero Ring, der besagte hetero Ring unterschiedlich, der beliebig durch Halogenatom ersetzt werden, Alkyl, Alkenyl, alkoxy, Amino, alkoxycarbonyl, Karboxamid oder alkylsubstituiertes carbamoyl, und R.sup.8 ist ein Wasserstoffatom, ein Alkyl, ein beliebig ersetztes Aryl oder ein beliebig ersetztes aralkyl oder ein Enantiomer davon.
