The method is carried out in the following manner: An aqueous mixture solution containing barium chloride and titanium chloride is added into an aqueous oxalic acid solution, so that barium titanyl oxalate would be precipitated. Then the precipitates are aged, washed and filtered. The filtered barium titanyl oxalate precipitates are crushed, and dried. Then a thermal decomposition is carried out to obtain a agglomerated barium titanate powder, and this is crushed again to obtain the final barium titanate powder. In order to obtain barium titanate based powder such as Ba(Ti.sub.1-z Zr.sub.z)O.sub.3, (Ba.sub.1-x Ca.sub.x)(Ti.sub.1-z Zr.sub.z)O.sub.3, and (Ba.sub.1-x-y Ca.sub.x Sr.sub.y)(Ti.sub.1-z Zr.sub.z)O.sub.3, the desired elements (Ca, Sr, Zr and so on) are added to barium titanyl oxalate when crushed before thermal decomposition step. After thermal decomposition and crushing, the barium titanate based powder can be obtained.

El método se realiza de la manera siguiente: Una solución acuosa de la mezcla que contiene el cloruro del bario y el cloruro del titanio se agrega en una solución ácida oxálica acuosa, de modo que el oxalate del titanyl del bario fuera precipitado. Después los precipitados se envejecen, se lavan y se filtran. Se machacan, y se secan los precipitados filtrados del oxalate del titanyl del bario. Entonces una descomposición termal se realiza para obtener un polvo aglomerado del titanate del bario, y ésta se machaca otra vez para obtener el polvo final del titanate del bario. Para obtener el titanate del bario basó el polvo tal como Ba(Ti.sub.1-z Zr.sub.z)O.sub.3, (Ba.sub.1-x Ca.sub.x)(Ti.sub.1-z Zr.sub.z)O.sub.3, y (Ba.sub.1-x-y Ca.sub.x Sr.sub.y)(Ti.sub.1-z Zr.sub.z)O.sub.3, los elementos deseados (CA, sr, zr etcétera) se agregan al oxalate del titanyl del bario cuando están machacados antes de paso termal de la descomposición. Después de la descomposición termal y de machacar, el titanate del bario basado polvo puede ser obtenido.
