In the transmission of "MWI-service"-specific messages in telecommunication networks, particularly in hybrid DECT/ISDN-specific telecommunication networks, in order to be able to distinguish between internal and external messages of the system for the purpose of displaying messages which are stored in telecommunication systems for telecommunication subscribers, one arrangement (e.g. the DECT base station), which sends or forwards the MWI message to a terminal device (e.g. the DECT mobile part) that is allocated and connected to it, transmits an additional indication which unambiguously distinguishes between internal and external events.
