An electric device (1) in which a driver (4) drives an electric motor (5)
by use of electric power supplied from a power supply (2) having a
rechargeable secondary battery, and a controller (3) monitors, manages,
and controls the driver and the whole device, is provided with a portable
device power supply (7) to which a portable device (10) is connectable and
which supplies electric power supplied from the power supply (2) to the
connected portable device (10) and a portable device interface means (16)
for communicating information with the connected portable device (10).
