The invention comprises substituted indole, azaindole and related
heterocyclic amidopiperazine derivatives of general Formula I

A is selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1-6 alkoxy, C.sub.1-6
alkyl, C.sub.3-7 cycloalkyl, phenyl, and heteroaryl; wherein said
heteroaryl may be monocyclic or bicyclic and may be comprised of three to
eleven atoms selected from the group consisting of C, N, NR.sup.9, O, and
S, and wherein each ring of said phenyl and heteroaryl is optionally
substituted with one to five same or different substituents selected from
the group consisting of R.sup.19 -R.sup.23 ;
T is

U is NR.sup.7, O, or S;
V is C(H).sub.k R.sup.1, O or N(R.sup.7').sub.k;
W is CR.sup.3 or NR.sup.10 ;
X is CR.sup.4 or NR.sup.10 ;

Z is CR.sup.6 or NR.sup.10 ;
k is 0 or 1;
and m, n, and p are each independently 0, 1, or 2 provided that the sum of
m, n, and p must equal 1 or 2;
compositions thereof and their use as antiviral agents, particularly for
treating HIV infection.
La invención abarca el indol substituido, el azaindole y derivados heterocíclicos relacionados del amidopiperazine de ## general del ## STR1 del fórmula I en donde: Q es ## del ## STR2 -- puede representar un enlace; A se selecciona del grupo que consiste en el alkyl C.sub.1-6 alkoxy, C.sub.1-6, el cycloalkyl C.sub.3-7, el fenilo, y el heteroaryl; en donde el heteroaryl dicho puede ser monocíclico o bicíclico y se puede abarcar de tres a once átomos seleccionados del grupo que consiste en C, N, NR.sup.9, O, y S, y en donde cada anillo del fenilo y del heteroaryl dichos se substituye opcionalmente con uno a cinco mismo o diversos sustitutos seleccionados del grupo que consiste en R.sup.19 - R.sup.23; T es el ## U del ## STR3 es NR.sup.7, O, o S; V es C(H).sub.k R.sup.1, O o N(R.sup.7').sub.k; W es CR.sup.3 o NR.sup.10; X es CR.sup.4 o NR.sup.10; Y es CR.sup.5 o NR.sup.10; Z es CR.sup.6 o NR.sup.10; k es 0 o 1; y m, n, y p son cada uno independientemente 0, 1, o 2 a condición de que la suma de m, de n, y de p debe igualar 1 o 2; composiciones de eso y su uso como agentes antivirus, particularmente para la infección del VIH que trata.
