Sterically hindered N-substituted aryloxyamines are prepared by the Keggin
polyoxometalate or the transition metal substituted polyoxometalate
(TMS-POM) catalyzed decomposition of diazonium salts in the presence of a
sterically hindered nitoxyl radical. These compounds are useful as thermal
and light stabilizers for a variety of organic substrates.
