Substituted thiourea complexing agent and a method for extracting a noble metal from a matrix using the complexing agent

   
   

A substituted thiourea having the general formula ##STR1## characterized in that each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently comprises an alkyl, alkaryl or aryl group or a substituted derivative thereof, and contains at least one fluorine atom, and in that each of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is selected from the group which consists of H, alkyl, alkaryl and aryl and substituted derivatives thereof, including fluorine-containing derivatives. A method for producing the substituted thiourea is disclosed, and a method for extracting a noble metal such as gold from a matrix by treating the matrix with the substituted thiourea is also disclosed.

Un thiourea substituido que hace el ## general del ## STR1 del fórmula caracterizar en el cada uno de R.sup.1 y R.sup.2 abarca independientemente un grupo del alkyl, del alkaryl o del aryl o un derivado substituido de eso, y contiene por lo menos un átomo del flúor, y en que cada uno de R.sup.3 y de R.sup.4 está seleccionado del grupo que consiste en H, el alkyl, el alkaryl y derivados aryl y substituidos de eso, incluyendo derivados con flúor. Un método para producir el thiourea substituido se divulga, y un método para extraer un metal noble tal como oro de una matriz tratando la matriz con el thiourea substituido también se divulga.
