The present invention provides a method for tracking material being
transferred from a source to a destination by a carrier which comprises
the steps of receiving a transmission from the source, the transmission
being indicative of characteristics of the material. Also, a second
transmission indicative of characteristics of the carrier is received. The
carrier information is then associated with the supplier information. In
another aspect, this information is used to estimate times for arrival of
shipments, generate alarms for late arrivals and measure performance of
suppliers and carriers.
La presente invenzione fornisce un metodo per l'inseguimento del materiale che è trasferito da una fonte ad una destinazione da un elemento portante che contiene i punti ricezione della trasmissione dalla fonte, la trasmissione che è indicativa delle caratteristiche del materiale. Inoltre, una seconda trasmissione indicativa delle caratteristiche dell'elemento portante è ricevuta. Le informazioni dell'elemento portante allora sono associate con le informazioni del fornitore.
