A color wheel is fabricated with filter sectors formed on both surfaces of
a substrate such that filter sectors adjacent to each other are disposed
respectively on the top and bottom side surfaces of the substrate, whereby
structures as means for demarcating each of the filter sectors can be
shaped on the substrate at one time so that the adjacent filter sectors
can be positioned with respect to each other with an accuracy of the
demarcation of the structures without positioning masking jigs every time
each filter is formed.
