In an electron-emitting device having a pair of electric conductors
disposed on a substrate in opposed relationship with each other, and a
pair of piled films composed chiefly of carbon and connected to the pair
of electric conductors and disposed with a gap interposed therebetween,
the piled films contain therein one or more kinds of elements selected
from the group of lithium, potassium, sodium, calcium, strontium and
barium within the range of 1 mol % to 5 mol % in terms of the percentage
to carbon.
In einer Elektron-ausstrahlenden Vorrichtung, die ein Paar elektrische Leiter abgeschaffen auf einem Substrat in entgegengesetztem Verhältnis zu einander hat, und ein Paar angehäufte Filme, die hauptsächlich aus Carbon bestehen und an das Paar der elektrischen Leiter anschließen und mit einem vermittelten Abstand abschaffen, therebetween, enthalten die angehäuften Filme darin eine oder mehr Arten Elemente vorgewählt von der Gruppe des Lithiums, des Kaliums, des Natriums, des Kalziums, des Strontiums und des Bariums innerhalb des Bereiches 1 Mol % zu 5 Mol % in dem Prozentsatz ausgedrückt zum Carbon.
