A method to produce a layer electrode for electrochemical components with a
layer applied to a metal film to produce a connection between the metal
film and the layer by softening the metal film and pressing a surface
section of the layer over a part of the thickness of the layer into the
softened metal film. The ohmic resistance of the layer electrode can be
reduced in an advantageous manner via the pressing of surface sections of
the layer into the metal film.
