This invention relates to azo pigments of general formula (I) wherein D
represents the radical of a diazo component; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the
same or different and represent hydrogen, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl radical
which is optionally substituted by hydroxy, amino, halogen or methoxy, or
a (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10) aryl radical which is optionally substituted by one,
two or three substituents from the group C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1
-C.sub.4 alkoxy, F, Cl, Br, CF.sub.3, NO.sub.2, OH, CONH.sub.2,
CONH(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl), CON(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl).sub.2,
COO(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl), SO.sub.2 NH.sub.2, SO.sub.2 NH(C.sub.1
-C.sub.4 alkyl) and SO.sub.2 N(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl).sub.2, provided
that R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 do not simultaneously represent hydrogen; R.sup.4
represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, halogen, trifluoromethyl,
C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy, NO.sub.2, or CN; and n represents 1, 2 or 3

Esta invención se relaciona con los pigmentos azo del fórmula general (i) en donde D representa el radical de un componente diazo; R.sup.1 y R.sup.2 son el iguales o diferentes y representan el hidrógeno, un C.sub.1 - el radical alkyl C.sub.4 que sea substituido opcionalmente por hydroxy, amino, el halógeno o methoxy, o el radical aryl de a (C.sub.6 - C.sub.10) que es substituido opcionalmente por un, dos o tres sustitutos del grupo C.sub.1 - C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 - C.sub.4 alkoxy, F, cl, Br, CF.sub.3, NO.sub.2, OH, CONH.sub.2, CONH(C.sub.1 - alkyl C.sub.4), CON(C.sub.1 - C.sub.4 alkyl).sub.2, COO(C.sub.1 - alkyl C.sub.4), SO.sub.2 NH.sub.2, SO.sub.2 NH(C.sub.1 - alkyl C.sub.4) y SO.sub.2 N(C.sub.1 - C.sub.4 alkyl).sub.2, a condición de que R.sup.1 y R.sup.2 no representan simultáneamente el hidrógeno; R.sup.4 representa el hidrógeno, C.sub.1 - C.sub.4 alkyl, halógeno, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 - C.sub.4 alkoxy, NO.sub.2, o CN; y n representa 1, 2 o 3 ## del ## STR1
