A printing press for one-sided or two-sided printing of a sheet includes a transfer
cylinder disposed in a travel direction of the sheet between a first and a second
impression cylinder, respectively, of two printing units, and a sheet support assigned
to the transfer cylinder for receiving the sheet thereon before the sheet is transferred
to the second impression cylinder, an inverting drum disposed in the travel direction
of the sheet between the sheet support and the second impression cylinder, the
inverting drum serving for picking up the sheet from the sheet support and transporting
the sheet to the second impression cylinder; and a method of operation.
