Disclosed are compositions prepared by free-radical-driven grafting onto
hydrocarbons or hydrocarbon ethers of olefinically unsaturated fluorocarbons containing
sulfonyl fluoride, fluorosulfonate, fluorosulfonimide, or fluorosulfonyl methide
groups, wherein the grafting step is followed by a hydrolysis step in the case
of sulfonyl fluoride.
