The invention relates to a method for the detection of pathogenic
food-relevant bacteria, particularly to a method for the simultaneous
specific detection of bacteria of the genus Listeria and the species
Listeria monocytogenes by in situ-hybridization as well as to a method
for the specific detection of bacteria of the species Staphylococcus
aureus by in situ-hybridization as well as to a method for the specific
detection of bacteria of the genus Campylobacter and the species C. coli
and C. jejuni by in situ-hybridization as well as the corresponding
oligonucleotide probes and kits, with which the inventive methods may be
carried out.
