A method of making and polymer compositions with enhanced adhesion that include
a rubbery or glassy polymer, about 0.1 to 30% by weight of carbon black filler
and from about 0.1 to 5% by weight of carbon filler. Preferred polymers are polybutadiene,
brominated isobutylene methylstyrene, polystyrene or polymethylmethacrylate and
preferred carbon fillers are colloidal silica, pure graphite particles and a carbon
black filler heat treated to an extent sufficient to reduce interaction with the polymer.
