The present invention relates to a G-protein coupled receptor and a novel
ligand therefor. The invention provides screeing assays for the
identification of candidate compounds which modulate the activity of the
G-protein coupled receptor, as well as assays useful for the diagnosis
and treatment of a disease or disorder related to the dysregulation of
G-protein coupled receptor signaling.
