The present application relates to a process for producing high-purity bis(4-hydroxyaryl)alkanes
from adducts of bis(4-hydroxyaryl)alkanes and aromatic hydroxy compounds, which
are obtained by acid-catalysed reaction of the aromatic hydroxy compounds with ketones.
