A system for covering and closing off a housing of an electronic microdevice
with
a cover plate that extends over a mostly level surface of a faceplate of the housing.
Rotary or pivoting hinges are provided to allow the cover plate to be lifted off
of the surface of the faceplate while maintaining the cover plate essentially parallel
to the faceplate. The system may be used for closing off a hearing-aid housing,
an FM receiver housing or other housing.
