A method, apparatus, and computer instructions for managing cookies in a data
processing
system. A cookie is received during a browser program session. The cookie is only
stored in a temporary data store within the data processing system for a duration
of the browser program session. The cookies stored in the temporary data store
may be displayed in response to a signal to terminate the browser program session.
Cookies are selectively stored in a persistent storage, based on user input.
