The invention relates to derivatives of valproyltaurinamide of formula (I) in
which R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen, a C1-C6-alkyl
group, an arylalkyl group or an aryl group. The derivatives are especially useful
for the treatment of epilepsy, affective illness, cognitive disorders, neurodegenerative
disease, neuropathic pain syndrome, migraine, stroke, brain ischemia, or head trauma injury.
