An f-theta lens and a laser scanning unit including the same are provided. The
f-theta lens for a laser scanning unit includes a lens body that to focus incident
light onto a scanning surface, and ribs formed on opposite sides of the lens body
to protect the lens body, wherein the ribs have variable heights corresponding
to a peak height of the lens body such that the ribs are higher than the peak of
the lens body at a convex portion of the lens body and lower than the peak of the
lens body at a concave portion of the lens body.
