The water-soluble silk protein deposits onto the skin or the natural hair keratin to provide a smooth and durable film to provide added strength for protection against environmental, chemical, and grooming associated damage. The compositions may be in the form of skin care, skin cleansing, or anti-wrinkle products, shampoos, conditioners, lotions, aerosols, gels, mousses, dyes, or bleaches.
