(2) A lithographic printing plate precursor having a protective layer containing an inorganic layered compound, and an image-recording layer containing a binder polymer. (3) A lithographic printing plate precursor having a protective layer containing an inorganic layered compound, and an image-recording layer containing an infrared absorber and an iodonium compound.
