A method of separating at least one polymer from a mixture of polymers.
The method includes adjusting the temperature of the mixture, either by
heating or cooling, to bring the temperature to a temperature at which
decombination of the polymer mixture occurs. Mechanical energy is also
imparted to the mixture, before, during or after temperature adjustment.
The temperature adjustment and application of mechanical energy enable at
least one polymer to be separated from the other polymers in the mixture.
