Process for the preparation of acrolein and/or acrylic acid by catalytic gas-phase selective oxidation reaction of propane, the process comprising contacting a reaction gas containing propane and an oxygen-containing gas over a mixed metal oxide solid catalyst supported on a TiO.sub.2--MoO.sub.3 porous support.
