The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising an extract of the mixture of Coicis Semen, Chicorium intibus, Acanthopanax sessiliflorus SEEM, Lonicerae flos, Platycodi radix, Poria, laminariae Thallus, Taraxaci herba, Acori graminei Rhizoma and Glycyrrhia uralaensis FISCH or dry power of the extract for increasing nitric oxide (NO) and INF-.gamma. production and a process for preparation thereof.
