A composition comprising: (a) a liquid medium; and (b) a compound comprising one or more chromophoric groups and one or more hydrazine or hydrazide groups; wherein the liquid medium comprises water and an organic solvent, an organic solvent free from water, or a low melting point solid. The composition is useful for ink jet printing.
