A method of forming a spacer of double glazing according to the present
invention that forms a spacer by applying a spacer forming material from
an applicator head for applying the spacer forming material while the
applicator head is being moved by a multi-joint robot along the periphery
of the upper surface of one glass plate. The spacer forming material is
discharged form the discharge port of the application head in the linear
regions of the periphery, and discharging of the spacer forming material
is stopped form the discharge port of the application head in the corner
regions of the periphery. During stopping of the discharge, the
application head is rotated to change the direction of the discharge port
to a direction suitable for application in the next linear region that
follows the corner region.
